Five bathrooms, four bedrooms, the living room with books and music, the garden with table for breakfast and dinners by the pool, sun beds and hammocks to relax. In Menorca time is marked by nature and everything goes little by little. “Poc a poc” they say here. A rhythm to listen to, like silence.
It’s prepared with love. It is made of simple and genuine foods that make you feel at home away from home: bread, butter, jams, honey and traditional Menorcan products – milk, biscuits, ensaimada -, so that good morning is a good time, as good as when we were children.
Then, it’s served with kindness and scented of grandmothers’ cakes. Have breakfast with people you do not know and then decide to spend the holiday with them: do not be surprised, at Casa Bonita Menorca is normal.
So, we take care of your desires with lemons and pomegranates from the garden, orange juice with fresh mint, traditional cheeses from cow, sheep, goat more or less mature and “sobresada”… good morning, Menorca!
We love to create and the kitchen of Casa Bonita is an industrious forge of recipes that we like to share with friends and guests (dinners by appointment). We love quality ingredients and healthy eating.
Yes, we have some specialties: Italian coffee, slow working handmade pasta from Benevento, bottarga from the Sardinian mullet, capers in salt from Pantelleria, dried Calabrian tomatoes, Sicilian or Ligurian extra virgin olive oil…
Garden flavours and short cooking for ingredients mixed with passion and fantasy: pastas, meats, fish, savory and sweet pies, vegetables, tapas: welcome to the shared table, in the garden or on the veranda, of Casa Bonita!
Compared to its older sister, Majorca, and its cousin, Ibiza, Menorca is the quintessence of tranquility and has excellent paved roads. Motorcycles are therefore the ideal means of discovering and experiencing them.
Outside the door of Casa Bonita you’ll find two new 125 cc Sym bikes ready to warm up your engines: the white one looks like the Vespa! No chains or padlocks are used in Menorca: the key is enough to close the bike.
Do you like to cover kilometres using your legs? Then you have two mountain bikes at your disposal, ideal bikes for riding through the most difficult and challenging parts of the Camí des Cavalls. And… they are free!
We are deeply in love with this island and have the vice of sharing what we love. We will give you guides, tips and advice on how to experience the best of Menorca, its people and its traditions.
But we’ll ask you to help us respect and protect it. We’ll talk about GOB Menorca, the largest environmental organization on the island to which we dedicate time as volunteers because Menorca needs everyone.
And we will accompany you to enjoy “tapas” among vineyards or by the sea; to sip aperitifs at the Fish Market; to taste the focaccia with cheese at Es Castell. And then we’ll go to ruins, salt pans… if you like!
